About the Role

Gallagher Bassett, a leading provider of career development opportunities, seeks an experienced Return to Work (RTW) Specialist for its Workers Compensation team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of recovery and RTW outcomes, enabling them to lead complex claims towards successful rehabilitation.

As a key subject matter expert, you will provide leadership within your team, supporting injured workers and employers through the recovery process. This involves managing high-risk injury claims, conducting regular claim conferencing, and identifying biopsychosocial risk factors to achieve strategic recovery goals.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong administrative abilities, and experience in leading people or teams. A tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership as a key subject matter expert within your team, relating to recovery and RTW outcomes.
  • Manage a small portfolio of high-risk injury claims, supporting injured workers and employers through the recovery process.
  • Support Senior Case Managers with regular claim conferencing.
  • Identify biopsychosocial risk factors and implement strategic measures to achieve RTW goals.
  • Undertake RTW visits and treater case conferences to support recovery and RTW outcomes.

About You:

  • You have Workers Compensation scheme Claims Management experience, or significant RTW knowledge and experience.
  • You possess knowledge of physical and/or mental injury concepts relating to Victoria's Workers Compensation Scheme.
  • You have excellent customer service skills and experience.
  • You possess time management, administrative, and organisational skills.
  • You have experience in leading people, teams, or key initiatives, as well as coaching and mentoring skills.
