The Opportunity

This permanent, full-time role based in Melbourne offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on someone's life every day. As a Return to Work Specialist, you will provide early, timely, and personal face-to-face claims management and return to work service to injured workers and employers.

You will proactively support the injured worker and employer through the recovery and return to work process. This role would suit a current Return to Work specialist looking for a new challenge.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide workers' compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers, and providers.
  • Deliver personalised face-to-face assistance to workers and employers.
  • Conduct community-based visits inclusive of but not limited to worksites or medical clinics on initial triage of a claim and at significant milestones during the life of a claim.
  • Proactively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve sustainable return to work and restoration to the community outcomes.
  • Assist in reviewing providers' performance and consult with Provider / Return to Work Specialist where required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
  • Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation/Return to Work, Nursing, Allied Health or experience in Case Management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Victorian workers compensation (preferred).
  • Effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work.
  • Sound negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Current Unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • Must reside in the Melbourne area.
