About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Return to Work Specialist to join our team at Gallagher. This is a key leadership position that requires expertise in injury management and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Provide leadership as a subject matter expert within your team relating to recovery and return to work, while supporting your team manager and wider leadership group
    • Manage a small portfolio of high-risk injury claims, supporting injured workers and employers with their recovery, return to work, and return to health
    • Support Senior Case Managers with regular claim conferencing
    • Identify biopsychosocial risk factors leading to strategic recovery while achieving return to work goals
    • Identify claims at risk of developing secondary psychological injuries while implementing appropriate strategic measures to support injured workers back to full functional capacity
    • Undertake return to work visits and treater case conferences (both virtually and in-person) when required to support recovery and return to work outcomes
    • Apply a person-centered management approach focusing on injured workers' needs, by setting recovery goals and supporting them to achieve these

About You

  • • Workers Compensation scheme Claims Management experience or significant RTW knowledge and experience
    • Knowledge of Personal Injury Management concepts relating to Victoria's Workers Compensation Scheme
    • Excellent customer service skills and experience
    • Time management, administrative, and organisational skills
    • Experience in leading people, teams, or key initiatives as well as coaching and mentoring skills
    • Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role is also ideal
