Claims Expert and Mentor

As a Technical Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert technical and legislative claims expertise and Workers Compensation knowledge. You will coach and mentor claims staff on complex claims matters, leveraging your expertise in Workers Compensation legislation to review and endorse claims decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage complex claims utilizing specialist Workers Compensation knowledge to serve as a technical reference for Case Managers and Senior Case Managers.
- Provide expert guidance and assistance to employer clients requiring specialized technical support.
- Interact with Legal Panel Firms on pre-litigated and litigated matters within required timeframes.
- Maintain effective communication with employers, consultants, and other involved parties on the status of litigated matters.
- Conduct thorough quality revisions and endorsements of adverse decisions.
- Collaborate with Case Managers and attend claims review meetings to ensure comprehensive case management.
We are seeking an individual with:
- Proven experience in the Workers Compensation industry and a strong understanding of Work Cover legislation.
- Ability to interpret and apply the Accident Compensation Act effectively.
- Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Candidate should have a Bachelor of Law Degree and/or industry-related qualifications.
Competitive salary $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus benefits including:
