The successful candidate will be responsible for managing insurance claims from initial lodgement through to final payment, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a positive impact on people's lives. As an Insurance Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Lodging and triaging of claims in a timely and efficient manner
  • Managing death, total and permanent disability, trauma insurance, income protection, and personal injury claims
  • Providing regular updates to claimants and beneficiaries on the progress of their claims
  • Following up on receipt of claim documents and assisting with the completion of forms as required
  • Actioning and completing claim work within agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Making recommendations to the Trustee on all product claims
  • Managing family law enquiries and processing family law splits and financial hardship applications
  • Reporting and managing dissatisfaction feedback and service complaints
  • Attending to all forms, correspondence, filing, and record maintenance associated with claims management and family law splits
  • Ensuring our integrity is maintained and risk exposure minimized by adhering to policies and procedures

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Claim Administrator or in a similar role
  • Superannuation or industry experience in a similar field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Process-oriented with great attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to work to service standard deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • RG 146 compliant or commitment to undertaking study (mandatory)
