EML Australia, a leading Workers Compensation and Personal Injury Claims Management business, is seeking a highly skilled Claims Coordinator - Injury Management Specialist to join their diverse team based in Newcastle.
This permanent, full-time position offers a great opportunity for individuals passionate about helping people get their lives back through ongoing support during their return-to-work journey. As a key member of the EML team, you will be responsible for managing mental health and physical claims, drawing on your exceptional customer service and decision-making skills to make a positive impact on someone's life every day.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively manage mental health and physical claims, identifying opportunities to achieve optimum outcomes and minimize claim costs.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Facilitate active participation of injured workers and employers in return-to-work and recovery planning, promoting effective rehabilitation and timely return to work.
- Manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans/wellness plans in accordance with guidelines, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Undertake ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments, ensuring accuracy and fairness in claim processing.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in Workers Compensation is mandatory; experience in allied health, rehabilitation, or disability support is highly advantageous but not essential.
- You will possess a high level of empathy and resilience when supporting injured workers through your customer-centric approach.
- You will be proactive, strategically focused, and able to think creatively when engaging with stakeholders, including workers, employers, providers, and family members.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport and confidence with customers are essential.
- You will effectively listen and understand the needs of customers, enabling their recovery and return to work.
