About the Role

Mates4Mates Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veteran Support Liaison Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with veterans and their families to provide high levels of supportive engagement when accessing our services.
  • Design and implement social and community connection activities to promote positive health outcomes.
  • Represent Mates4Mates at external events to promote awareness of our holistic approach to veteran and family support and recovery.
Requirements
  • A history of training and/or service in the ADF or a close connection; or demonstrated experience working with current or ex-service personnel in a similar role.
  • A love for the great outdoors and all things physical.
  • High levels of self-awareness and ability to adjust your communication style to suit your audience.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional approach when supporting clients who may be experiencing mental and physical health issues.
  • Flexibility in approach to work when unplanned demands of client needs conflict with meeting deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including the use of web-based platforms and social media, to engage with your client group and undertake administration tasks relevant to the role.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
