About the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide on-site support, troubleshooting, and resolution directly for users and IT equipment within the environment. The role will involve utilizing various support approaches as well as direct customer/device interaction and will also include remote access functionality, and the use of enterprise tools to deliver service to end users within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).

The role has a particular focus on assuring accurate ticket information is logged, providing technical and procedural support as an escalation point for various remote support teams and identifying knowledge gaps within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective status updates to customers.
  • Develop, test, and implement solutions to problems detected during troubleshooting.
  • Manage communications and liaison with customers and technical groups using regular updates and status reports.
Requirements
  • Working in a Service Desk or Desktop Support role.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining PCs in a Windows environment.
  • MS Windows family of Operating Systems.
  • MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Desktop/LAN and Printer troubleshooting.
  • Diagnosing and resolving software issues.
  • Incident management tool.
  • User support, user training, or LAN administration.
  • Knowledge of SOE principles and concepts.
