We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Indigenous Banking Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with Indigenous customers and communities, ensuring they have access to our wide range of products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Engagement: Deliver outstanding customer service to Indigenous customers, answering their questions about banking, promoting self-service options, and identifying issues and service gaps.
- Community Liaison: Work with stakeholders, including Community and Government Services, to support the bigger picture of assisting Indigenous customers with their everyday banking.
- Cultural Awareness: Ensure that communication and information to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples/communities is culturally appropriate and effective.
- Stakeholder Management: Conduct presentations and liaise with internal stakeholders across the Bank to promote our services and build relationships with Indigenous communities.
- Customer Service Experience: Strong customer service experience with excellent attention to detail.
- Cultural Competence: Knowledge and understanding of Australian Indigenous communities, cultures, and the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
- Communication Skills: Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in collaboration with communities, stakeholders, and other government and non-government agencies.
