About The Guardian

The Guardian is a leading global media organisation renowned for its pioneering independent journalism and award-winning digital products. We are seeking a skilled and motivated CRM Specialist to join our close-knit team in this newly created role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Local Ownership: Take ownership of ongoing CRM engagement and reader revenue activity, with a focus on building direct relationships and habits, converting readers into supporters, keeping supporters engaged, and minimising churn.
  • Campaign Planning and Execution: Plan, implement, optimise and report on multi-channel campaigns and journeys across The Guardian's reader and customer lifecycle.
  • Global CRM Strategy: Work closely with CRM teams in the UK and US to understand global CRM strategy and best-practices, identifying and executing on opportunities to localise.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years experience in a CRM executive role.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated understanding of core CRM principles such as segmentation, automation and journey mapping (experience using Braze will be highly regarded). Working knowledge of HTML. Demonstrated interest in news and current affairs.
  • Skills and Behaviours: Ability to grasp new concepts and technical instructions quickly. Adaptable, self-motivated and proactive. Strong, clear, concise communicator with strong written English skills. Good at digesting and critically assessing strategy and plans. Team player with strong soft skills and the ability to build productive and collaborative working relationships. Strategic and critical thinker. Excellent time-management and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and balance competing tasks and meet deadlines. Strong interest in, and understanding of, The Guardian brand.
