About the Role

This position plays a critical role in providing direct administrative support to the section and subject matter expertise in an administrative discipline. As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the supervision, coaching, mentoring, and training of the administration team to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective business support.

You will work collaboratively across the council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community. This role requires strong technical guidance and support to the Administration Officers, ensuring they meet the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community.

About You
  • A minimum of five years' experience in an administration role supporting a multi-disciplinary team, with demonstrated expertise in an administrative, financial, legal, or analytical discipline.
  • Supervisory experience leading an administration team is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing the skills and knowledge of others within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • Qualifications commensurate with Certificate IV in Business or similar competency.
  • A current 'C' class drivers' licence.
  • Proficiency in council products, including but not limited to ECM/CES/Marvel/Property and Rating (desirable).
