The Opportunity

This is a key front-line role responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the depots, including operational delivery and compliance, managing systems, liaising with drivers, rostering, and reporting.

  • Position located in Townsville
  • Assist managers to implement business plans and strategic objectives for the site as well as assist in the planning and delivery of school, route, special event, and charter services at the depot.
  • Maintain good business relationships with all stakeholders and staff and develop a collaborative working relationship (both internally and externally), focusing on excellence in service provision and individual performance.
  • Manage day-to-day staff resource allocations for the depot. This includes maintaining drivers' rosters through TIMS. Assist your managers to implement cost-effective staffing strategies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Availability for a range of day/night shifts
  • Previous experience in transport, logistics, or operations (full training will be provided)
  • Minimum MR Driver's License
  • QLD Drivers Authority (preferred) or willing to obtain
  • Current First Aid certificate (preferable) or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational ability – including the ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Demonstrated ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including integrated software systems (TIMS knowledge is preferable)
