The Mercure Townsville seeks a dedicated and experienced leader to oversee the daily operations of Celsius Restaurant.

Job Overview:

As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, delivering high-quality dining experiences to our customers, and motivating our talented team members to achieve excellence.

About You:

We are looking for a results-driven individual with a proven track record of leading and managing a successful team in a high-volume restaurant environment. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with front-of-house staff, kitchen teams, and other stakeholders to maintain our high standards of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Manage, run, and control the operational floor of the restaurant according to business demand, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Service Standards: Set, implement, and review service standards to ensure consistent quality, reflecting our commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Talent Development: Conduct training, performance evaluations, and counselling of staff to foster a culture of growth and development within the team.
  • Team Management: Recruit and select team members who align with our standards and values, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Cost Efficiency: Efficiently manage rosters and costs to optimise operations, ensuring financial sustainability and contributing to the hotel's overall success.
  • Guest Feedback: Review guest feedback, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Compliance: Ensure WH&S and sustainability commitments are upheld within the department, maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing a successful team in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Outgoing personality, positive attitude, initiative, and ability to think creatively, driving innovation and progress within the team.
  • Customer Service: Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills, ensuring consistently high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Appearance: Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail, maintaining a professional image in line with the Mercure brand.
  • Certifications: Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
