Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Lending Specialist to join our team at Great Southern Bank. As a key member of our retail banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers in Epping, VIC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a strong business network to promote Great Southern Bank's products and services.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the divisional business plan.
  • Manage and own home loans through to completion, grow your pipeline, and constantly scan for opportunities to help Australians own their own home.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, and be a respected subject-matter expert in mortgage lending and credit assessment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mortgage lending or credit assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with all banking products.
  • Proven ability to network with key stakeholders and pursue leads and obtain business through network activities.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a proven ability to apply cross-selling techniques for products and services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer and sales focus.
  • Ability to problem-solve complex financial problems.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong connections with the team.
  • Demonstrated exceptional stakeholder management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Code and Acts.
  • ASIC Tier 2 requirement or ability to rapidly acquire.
  • Cert IV in Mortgage Brokering (desirable).
