About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our team at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in securing and managing institutional funding from various technical donors, including the Australian Government through DFAT and other bodies and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, secure, and manage institutional funding opportunities to support the implementation of our Global Health Strategy and Program in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and colleagues.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential funding opportunities and develop compelling proposals.
  • Manage complex, donor-funded programs in the Indo-Pacific region, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of global health and development, and apply this knowledge to inform our funding strategies and program implementation.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as business, international development, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in institutional fundraising, with a proven track record of securing significant funding from technical donors.
  • Excellent research, writing, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Experience working in the Indo-Pacific region, with a deep understanding of the cultural, political, and economic context.
