Overview of the Team

The Office of the General Manager is a small team that supports the General Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Engagement, with some functions extending to support the broader Group. The Group's overarching role and purpose is to promote and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing through education programs, targeted research and initiatives and effective communication strategies to provide workplaces the guidance and direction they need to deliver safe and healthy work environments.

Role Summary

The Executive Officer will maximise the productivity of the General Manager of the Strategic Partnerships and Engagement Group and broadly the Group itself. This is achieved by anticipating, identifying, analysing and acting effectively on issues and/or influences impacting the work of the General Manager and establishing systems for the efficient and effective management of their office and the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and identify issues impacting the work of the General Manager
  • Analyse and act effectively on issues and/or influences
  • Establish systems for efficient and effective management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in administration, business or a health-related field

Eligibility and Specific Conditions of Employment

  1. Australian citizenship
  2. Character clearance (police records check)
  3. Health clearance
  4. Six months probationary period for new engagements
  5. Security Clearance: Baseline
  6. Specific Conditions: Ability to travel occasionally including overnight absences
