About the Role:
As a member of our kitchen and dining team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals that promote the health and well-being of our residents. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team will be essential in delivering exceptional care.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or aged care (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence
- Alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos and values
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn)

Key Responsibilities:
As a Resident Meal Support Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals to residents
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food service spaces
- Assisting in meal setup, including setting tables and ensuring all utensils and crockery are clean
- Delivering food and beverages to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to their rooms
- Ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met for each resident
- Collaborating with the broader team to provide holistic support to residents
- Collecting, cleaning, and storing dishes and utensils after meals
