About the Role:

The Culinary Support Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our residents by preparing nourishing meals that contribute to their health and quality of life.

This position requires a caring nature, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with residents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, present, and serve meals to residents, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Assist in meal setup, including setting tables and ensuring all utensils and crockery are clean.
  • Deliver food and beverages to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to their rooms.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to provide holistic support to residents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess previous experience in food service or hospitality, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for working with older people.

You will also require knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, as well as alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos and values.
