About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and knowledgeable individual with a strong background in fine dining and cooking with fire. As a Culinary Specialist, you'll work closely with our Head Chef, Shane Hennessy, and Lennox Hastie to create a seasonally-driven menu that showcases the natural beauty of wood-fired cooking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes using fire as a primary cooking method
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of local and native produce
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve high-quality dishes and exceptional customer service
  • Participate in menu planning and development, ensuring dishes are creative, seasonal, and aligned with the restaurant's vision
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 2 years of experience working at a Chef De Partie level within a fine dining restaurant
  • Experience of cooking with fire is preferred
  • Detailed and in-depth knowledge of food and produce
  • Strong leadership and training skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Availability to work nights and weekends
