About the Role

As a key member of our team at Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns, you will be responsible for providing exceptional reservation experiences for our guests. Located in the heart of Cairns, our luxury five-star hotel offers stunning views and world-class amenities.

Job Summary
  • Manage Reservations: Efficiently handle all incoming reservations inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Assist Guests: Assist guests with availability, room selection, and rates while promoting our hotel's services and special offers.
  • Exceptional Communication: Possess exemplary written and verbal communication skills to provide seamless service.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Reservation Management: Accurately input and update reservation details into our property management system.
  • Availability Monitoring: Monitor room availability and assist in maximising occupancy and revenue through upselling and cross-selling techniques.
  • Time Management: Effectively manage your time and multitask to ensure deadlines and timeframes are met.
  • Telephone Skills: Possess exceptional telephone technique and communication skills.
About You
  • Experience: Previous experience in a Reservations/Front Office Management role is preferred.
  • Skill: Experience using Opera PMS is preferred.
