A luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns.
The RoleAs a Chief Engineer at Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical equipment used in air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, water supply and building facilities of the entire hotel.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement preventive maintenance and repair systems for hotel equipment to ensure emergency procedures are in place for situations like fires.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, including records, permits, and licenses, and conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate with external contractors for installations and repairs, working closely with departments on new projects, equipment, and building alterations, including cost estimation.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on operational costs, maintenance issues, and energy consumption to higher management, advising on cost-saving measures.
- Manage staff training, maintain performance records, oversee inventory control, and ensure completion of projects on time through effective coordination of engineering personnel.
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $115,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
