About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing successful product-to-market strategies within the Pre-Engineered Special Hazards portfolio. This includes executing all business development activities across a nominated region, focusing on direct sales, consultant engagement, end-user engagement, and providing input towards marketing and product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of products, services, features, solutions, and benefits for the region.
  • Support assigned customers in sales activities and identifying new opportunities.
  • Work in partnership with other Sales Representatives/Managers and the support team to achieve sales targets.
  • Utilize a solutions sales style and recommend products and solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Maintain and share knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base.
  • Responsible for all customer interface, detailed technical proposal preparation, development program management, and contract negotiations.
  • Achieve business success consistent with Carrier competencies, policies, and procedures.
  • Build and maintain a performance-focused sales culture that is customer-centric, collaborative, adaptable, and improvement-focused.
  • Establish and grow business relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Anticipate marketplace opportunities and take actions to ensure speed to market.

Requirements

  • 5 years of sales and/or BDM experience in selling investment goods that require explanation.
  • Strong network into the market (end customers, distribution partners, installers, and planners).
  • Familiarity with business planning and budgeting, project management, and other relevant business processes.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales/BDM success and a proven track record of 100% accountability.
  • Working experience in a global matrix organization with an integrated business model.
  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or similar.
  • Willingness to travel (10% of the time).
