Security Operations Manager

About Protective SecurityAs a Senior Security Analyst at Canva, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical security and safety of our global campuses while promoting a culture of inclusion and respect. This is a primarily on-site position based out of our Sydney campus, where you will contribute to diverse security and safety risk management activities, including:
- Supporting the development and implementation of Canva's campus safety and security policies and procedures.
- Leveraging your expertise to improve global campus security posture and incident response capabilities.
- Maintaining and updating security operational policy, processes, and playbooks.
You will work closely with the Security Group to prevent, detect, and respond to physical security risks, integrating your efforts with other teams across Canva to foster a secure and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain Canva's campus safety and security policies and procedures.
- Spearhead incident management and response delivery, investigating and reporting on safety and security incidents.
- Partner with stakeholders to design and deliver safety and security training programs, including emergency response protocols.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in safety and security to inform continuous process improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your skills and experience in security operations and risk management, ideally in a global multisite setting. As a seasoned professional, you will have demonstrated success in developing and maintaining security policies and procedures, as well as experience in physical security or safety incident management.
Requirements- 3-5+ years of experience in security operations and risk management, preferably in a global multisite environment.
- Demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining security policies and procedures.
- Proven expertise in physical security or safety incident management, including post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey safety and security information to diverse audiences.
We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits that set you up for success in and outside of work.
Total Compensation Package: $123,667 per year (base salary + estimated benefits)
