Job Description

As a Sales Manager at Mercure Newcastle, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand our client base. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively identifying potential business partners, corporate clients, event planners, inbound operators, and travel agencies to establish and nurture strong relationships.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create and implement effective sales strategies, campaigns, and promotions to attract new business.
  • Conducting market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Pitching our hotel's unique offerings to potential clients and partners through persuasive presentations and negotiations.
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, proposal creation, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of the hotel's facilities, services, and packages to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to enhance brand visibility and build a strong professional network.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams at Accor's Salter Brothers Portfolio Office, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of client agreements.
  • Working closely with the General Manager and Portfolio Director of Sales and Marketing on sales initiatives and projects.
