Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Family Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Universal MCH and Enhanced MCH teams, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of parenting support across the municipality.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Facilitate inclusive and engaging parenting groups tailored to diverse family needs.
  • Provide home-based support that builds parenting confidence and community connections.
  • Promote healthy child development through play-based learning and parental guidance.
  • Identify and respond to early developmental concerns with appropriate referrals.
  • Support community-building initiatives that foster belonging and participation.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood, Social Work, Allied Health, Community Development or related field.
  • Experience working with families in outreach or early childhood settings.
  • Strong understanding of child development, parenting support, and play-based learning.
  • Ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental and inclusive way.
  • Strong group facilitation skills are desirable, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
