We are seeking a passionate Community Engagement Specialist to advocate for the success of our clients and of our community of Women of Colour. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering social enterprise that uplifts the economic access barriers faced by Women of Colour.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with and supporting various community groups to set up for success. You will work closely with our team, clients, partners, creatives, entrepreneurs, and other groups across client projects and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, recruit, onboard, and develop a diverse range of community groups using data-driven insights.
- Foster strong relationships with intersectional communities and Allies, executing programs to engage them through workshops, events, and marketing campaigns.
- Manage community growth metrics to ensure engagement, retention, and satisfaction, soliciting, organizing, and contextualizing feedback from the community.
- Develop custom analytical strategies using insights to optimize overall performance, managing internal measurement tools and data analysis.
- Lead and project manage events to support the community ecosystem, including larger external events and festivals.
- Represent us in the community, building our reputation as a great community partner.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Commercial mindset gained through 2+ years of work experience in an early stage startup or agency.
- Deep love for community and desire to contribute to elevating all WoC.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Team player with strong people skills and ability to engage on all levels of the organisation.
- Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Kind heart and passion for making a positive impact.
