Job Title: Family Services Leader
Our organisation is seeking an experienced leader to play a key role in enhancing our practice and quality excellence in children, youth and family services. As a Family Services Leader, you will bring your expertise to support and develop our workforce in child and family programs.
You will work with leaders to embed therapeutic and culturally safe care across programs. Your focus will be on supporting our workforce in programmes like family preservation and reunification, integrated family services, foster care and kinship care, contributing to impactful outcomes for vulnerable families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert advice on complex cases
- Escalating risks and supporting staff through reflective practice, case reviews, secondary consultations and training
- Contributing to the development of evidence-based practices at our organisation, ensuring interventions are culturally responsive and trauma-informed
As a member of our leadership team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside fellow leaders across the region, collaborating on methodologies and service innovations.
Regular travel is essential to engage with teams face-to-face across the region, including regional areas.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant experience supporting children and young people impacted by complex trauma using therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience across children, youth and family services, from early intervention through to foster and kinship care
- A track record in coaching and developing staff, leading reflective practice, facilitating training and providing case consultations
- The ability to draw meaningful insights from practice data, identify trends and recommend improvements at individual, team and system levels
