Speech Therapist

This role is for a qualified Speech Therapist to join our dedicated team of professionals who provide high-quality services to children aged 0-10 years and their families. Our team works within a transdisciplinary Key Worker Model, using a Transdisciplinary Practice (TDP) approach.

  • We are seeking an experienced Speech Therapist who can work collaboratively with our team to deliver individual and group clinical work in clinic and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To assess and treat children aged 0-10 years with communication and swallowing disorders, providing evidence-based interventions to support their developmental and therapeutic needs.
  2. To collaborate with other Allied Health professionals as part of the transdisciplinary Key Worker Model to ensure comprehensive care for children and their families.
  3. To contribute to the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that promote the capacity building of children, families, and communities.
  4. To maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
  5. To participate in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification.
  • Eligible membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
  • Experience working with children aged 0-10 years with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
