Business Banker - Commercial Lender

Role Overview

As a Business Banker - Commercial Lender, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with small business customers to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.

You will work closely with customers to identify opportunities to grow their business and provide support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate customer conversations to understand their goals and needs
  • Originate commercial lending solutions, including asset finance, merchant facilities, and everyday banking products
  • Proactively engage customers to support their business and personal goals
  • Build awareness of the bank's business banking proposition within the local business community
  • Host small business education events to support the ongoing financial wellbeing of businesses

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial lending or B2B sales
  • Sound financial analysis skills and commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement/management skills
  • Excellent customer engagement skills (both face-to-face and non-face-to-face)
  • Passion for helping small business customers succeed
  • FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation
  • Credit Approval Authority (CAA) Level 2 or willing to obtain this within 6 months
