Administrative Officer: Accounts and Operations

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join our Commercial Services Department in Brisbane. This is a full-time opportunity with a rotating weekly roster working from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm and 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
About the OrganisationSullivan Nicolaides Pathology is one of the largest pathology practices in Australia, providing comprehensive services to patients and doctors throughout Queensland and New South Wales, employing over 3000 people.
Our services cover routine testing and specialised testing for referral laboratories across Australia, catering to the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour.
About the OpportunityThis role offers a unique chance to work as part of a team-oriented environment, displaying strong organisational and analytical skills alongside a passion for continuous quality improvement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client billing, reconciliation of accounts, Medicare and Private Health Fund claims, daily banking, and general administration tasks.
- Manage client billing and reconcile accounts
- Manage Medicare and Private Health Fund claims
- Daily banking and financial transactions
- Troubleshoot issues with the billing team
- General administrative duties
We are looking for a motivated and solutions-driven individual who can effectively collaborate with the team and adapt to any task at hand.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo thrive in this role, you will need strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and solid alpha-numeric keyboard skills. A moderate level of Microsoft Excel knowledge is also required.
Prior experience in the medical sector, relevant qualifications, and knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) will be highly regarded.
