Position Overview

Autodesk Australia is seeking a seasoned sales professional in engineering technology to represent our Autodesk Water Infrastructure (AWI) product line. This role, which reports to the Head of Sales APJ, provides an opportunity to engage with AWI solutions across private sector organizations within your designated territory.

This position offers a hybrid work model, with the option to work from an Autodesk office location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives to support the ongoing digital transformation of the Australian Water Industry.
  • Conduct territory sales planning and whitespace analysis in collaboration with our broader sales team.
  • Manage opportunities from inception to closure.
  • Collaborate on demand generation and pipeline expansion efforts.
  • Qualify leads effectively.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for your assigned territory.
  • Manage key accounts and large accounts while also focusing on volume sales.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in selling engineering software applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a focus on the Australian water sector.
  • Demonstrated success in complex sales involving multiple decision-makers and lengthy sales cycles.
  • Experience in the private sector with a solid understanding of various procurement models.
  • Ability to deliver precise sales forecasts.
  • Experience leveraging partnerships to enhance sales efforts.
  • Familiarity with established sales methodologies such as SPIN or Challenger.
  • Background in relevant technologies is advantageous.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams to drive demand through various channels.

  • Committed to ongoing professional development to stay informed about industry trends.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time, with potential for some international travel.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the Australian Water Industry.
  • Ideally located on the East Coast of Australia with the right to work in the country.
