Position Overview

Autodesk Australia is seeking a seasoned sales professional with expertise in engineering technology to champion the Autodesk Water Infrastructure (AWI) product line. This role operates independently, reporting to the Head of Sales APJ, and provides the chance to represent AWI solutions to private sector organizations within your designated territory.

This position offers a hybrid work environment or the option to work from an Autodesk office location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives to support the ongoing digital transformation of the Australian Water Industry.
  • Conduct territory sales planning and whitespace analysis in collaboration with the broader sales team.
  • Manage opportunities from inception to closure.
  • Collaborate on generating demand and expanding the sales pipeline.
  • Qualify leads effectively.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for your assigned territory.
  • Manage key accounts and large accounts while also engaging in volume sales.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in selling engineering software applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience focused on the Australian water sector.
  • Demonstrated success in complex sales involving multiple decision-makers and extended sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with private sector operations and various procurement models.
  • Ability to deliver precise sales forecasts.
  • Experience leveraging partnerships to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of popular sales methodologies such as SPIN or Challenger.
  • Background in working with marketing teams to enhance demand generation through various channels.

  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time, with potential for international travel.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the Australian Water Industry.
  • Ideally located on the East Coast of Australia with the right to work in the country.
