Position Overview

Autodesk Australia is seeking a seasoned sales professional in engineering technology to champion the Autodesk Water Infrastructure (AWI) product suite. This role, reporting directly to the Head of Sales APJ, offers the chance to engage with AWI solutions across private sector organizations within your designated territory.

This position allows for a hybrid work model or the option to operate from an Autodesk office location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives to support the ongoing digital transformation of the Australian Water Industry.
  • Conduct territory sales planning and whitespace analysis in collaboration with the broader sales team.
  • Manage the complete sales opportunity lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on demand generation strategies and pipeline enhancement.
  • Qualify leads effectively.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for your assigned territory.
  • Manage key accounts and large clients while also engaging in volume sales strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in selling engineering software applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience focused on the Australian water sector.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex sales involving multiple decision-makers and extended sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with private sector operations and various procurement models.
  • Ability to deliver precise sales forecasts.
  • Experience leveraging partnerships to enhance sales efforts.
  • Training in recognized sales methodologies such as SPIN or Challenger.
  • Background in relevant software applications is advantageous.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams to drive demand through various channels.

  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time, with potential for international travel.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the Australian Water Industry.
  • Ideally located on the East Coast of Australia with the legal right to work in the country.
