About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team at WaterNSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to identify technical needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and build of operational water resource management systems for internal clients.
  • Support, maintain, and provide training for existing water resource management operational systems.
  • Provide water modelling advice and services related to hydraulic, hydrologic, climate change, and water quality to inform operational decisions.
  • Review technical reports and project deliverables to ensure hydraulic, hydrological factors, climate change, and water quality risks are well understood.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic/water supply/water quality models and systems through postgraduate studies or experience.
  • Understanding of challenges in applying modelling to operational water resource management.
  • Understanding of hydrometric and meteorological data.
  • Experience in the development and/or application of hydrologic/hydraulic/water quality models as inputs to decision-making processes.
