About the Role

We are currently recruiting for multiple Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Mc Mahons Creek region. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide quality support to participants living in purpose-built homes and their own family homes.

The hours of work available are varied, including weekday shifts, evening, and weekend shifts. Penalty rates apply on weekends, Public Holidays, after 8pm, and after 12 pm.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing support to participants with complex needs and/or behaviours of concern
  • Thorough understanding of working with people with disabilities - physical and behavioural
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Certificate 4 level qualification in a relevant field
  • Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish professional relationships with participants and their families
  • Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster and availability to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • First Aid, CPR, WWCC, and NDIS Worker Orientation module
  • Current Driver's License with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle (mandatory)

Employment with Care Choice is subject to satisfactory background checks, including Professional References, Employee Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
