About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Geelong. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and communication.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Work collaboratively with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals, to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Assist with domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, to promote independence and well-being.
  • Provide transportation for clients, using your own vehicle, and ensure safe and comfortable travel.
  • Work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to meet the needs of clients and the organization.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Good judgment, common sense, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full driver's license and willingness to use your own vehicle for transportation.
  • Commitment to ongoing shifts and varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
