We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at InLife Independent Living. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live independently in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to individuals with physical disabilities, including transfers, use of equipment, and hoisting.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as showering, dressing, and domestic duties.
- Support individuals with seizure management, including administering midazolam as required.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with mental health conditions and behaviours of concern.
- Work collaboratively with care teams to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Transport individuals to appointments and activities, using your own vehicle (reimbursed by the company).
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including physical disabilities and mental health conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Full driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (must be completed prior to commencement).
- Competitive hourly rate ($43.67 p/h weekdays after induction).
