The Everyday Business Banking team supports the full spectrum of customers' needs, from small businesses to large corporations. We are accountable for cash management, merchant solutions, customer lifecycle management, and delivering analytical capabilities to support our business customers.
Our Propositions
The Transaction Growth and Propositions team has the unique responsibility to design, build, and run high-profile customer propositions that enable us to take the best of the Commonwealth Bank to the market, grow our leading market share, and drive greater customer value. Some of these propositions include real estate, business banking solutions, tradies propositions, sustainability action tools, and business inquiry services.
About the Role
- Lead the design and development of market-leading propositions that unify the 'pay and get paid' experience for small to medium-sized businesses, to grow share of wallet, increase engagement, and drive advocacy.
- Leverage networks and proactively seek out global best practices and new business partnering opportunities that will elevate our offerings.
- Lead partnership agreement negotiations to deliver on the strategy and actively manage the day-to-day relationships.
- Develop metrics and manage ongoing leadership reporting and updates to measure the success of propositions and initiatives.
- Work with teams across EBB, marketing, and channels to bring the strategy to life in a safe and sustainable way.
- Work closely with scrum masters and technology/data teams to agree and track key prioritized work to achieve the agreed strategy and metrics within timeframes.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members to develop process maps, journey maps, and presentation materials at the highest standard to support internal and external conversations.
- Advise on transaction banking markets in terms of competition and industry changes.

- Strong negotiation skills and experience in legal contracting with partners.
- Solid experience in product and proposition development and strategy, preferably in banking.
- Background leading external partnership development and management.
- Prior experience in leading through adaptive organizational and cultural change with a strong bias to challenging existing ways of working.
