People & Culture Business Partner - Australia Retail

About the Role
This is a key position in supporting business transformation in Australia Retail, focusing on people priorities and change required for the migration of customers to ANZ's digital first bank.
You will develop a deep understanding of business needs, workforce requirements, and internal/external environments to shape solutions. Coaching and advising leaders to improve their performance and effectiveness, as well as that of their teams, are also essential responsibilities.
Strategic direction and execution of workforce initiatives to support Australia Retail Division transformation are critical aspects of this role. Subject matter expertise across capability and culture, with consulting and collaboration at scale, is expected.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships, manage diverse stakeholders, and thrive in complex ambiguity. Collaboration, coaching, advising, and challenging business leaders, while maintaining a focus on execution and value delivery, are vital skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify key people initiatives for business strategy and employee/leadership needs.
- Support large-scale transformation initiatives in partnership with the business and other teams.
- Shape and define T&C interventions to drive short-term and long-term performance, including organisational design, talent management, engagement, change management, and leadership coaching.
- Represent T&C at steering committees and oversee T&C aspects of top priority projects.
- Communicate and apply core T&C policies and practices throughout the business.
Requirements:
- Commercial acumen combined with extensive Strategic Business Partner experience in a complex matrix environment.
- Excellent relationship management skills, including influencing outcomes, coaching senior stakeholders, and building a trusted advisor profile.
- Skilful and effective change agent, collaborator, and communicator.
- Background and demonstrated experience in large-scale organisational change and cyclical activity.
- Collaboration and connectivity across multiple teams to enable outcomes.
- Ability to consult and understand needs/wants.
- Curiosity for technology and digital solutions in customer service.
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of $AUD 120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits such as professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and a dynamic work environment.
