About the Role

The Department of Government Services is seeking a skilled Enquiries Officer to join our team in Ballarat. As a key member of our contact centre, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to the Victorian community.

You will be the primary point of contact for services by Consumer Affairs Victoria and Service Victoria, effectively and efficiently attending to and resolving telephone and online enquiries from consumers, traders, rental providers, renters, and the general public.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate and relevant legislative advice and information on the rights and responsibilities of consumers, traders, landlords, and tenants.
  • Evaluating and processing complaints and enquiries presented in writing and by phone.
  • Providing information about dispute settlement and identifying potential breaches of legislation.
  • Providing resources to empower people to deal with consumer issues.
