RACQ is seeking a skilled Traffic Incident Manager to join our team. As a trusted partner in traffic and incident management, we work closely with stakeholders to minimize disruptions, improve safety, and keep traffic moving efficiently.

In this role, you will provide safe and effective traffic and incident management solutions to our stakeholders, around road traffic incidents. You will patrol major network routes for incidents and hazards, rapidly respond to and clear traffic incidents, reduce the potential or risk of secondary incidents, provide safe diversions, minimize traffic delays and congestion, and provide continuous two-way radio communication with traffic management centers.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Hold an MR License or above
  • Possess a General Induction White Card
  • Able to use smart phones, tablets, and computer systems
  • Impeccable driving history over the past 5 years
  • Military or emergency service experience is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage conflict situations effectively
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in dynamic roadside situations
  • Willing to undergo pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening, and criminal record checks
