Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HS&E Transformation Leader to join our Northern Region team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the transformation of our SHE culture, coaching and influencing leaders to develop a safety mindset, and building organizational capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management System: Manage the Safety Management System, including coaching and mentoring managers, conducting audits, and record-keeping.
- Site-Specific Safety Plans: Manage site-specific safety plans, ensuring that all required managers and supervisors are aware of site plan requirements affecting their individual positions and direct reports.
- System Verification Audits: Conduct periodic system verification audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Incident Management: Manage incident management, reporting, investigation, and corrective actions to minimize the risk of future incidents.
- Training and Development: Conduct ongoing training to build capability and ensure that employees have the necessary skills to perform their jobs safely.
- Safety Strategy Development: Participate in the development of our safety strategy and contribute to regional and national projects and initiatives.
About You:
We are looking for a seasoned Safety leader with a strong track record of success in a similar role. You will have:
- Minimum 5+ years: Relevant work experience in a safety leadership role and a qualification in a relevant field.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant programs.
- People Development Skills: Excellent people development skills to achieve SHE targets via performance management processes.
- Communication and Reporting Skills: Excellent communication and reporting skills within the SHE area and within the 'Key Relationships' function.
- SHE Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of SHE practices, including statutory compliance issues.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to actively listen and resolve conflict, as well as support, encourage, motivate, and direct staff on SHE issues.
- Time Management and Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to and lead change in a fast-paced environment.
