About the Role

RACQ is seeking a skilled Traffic Incident Response Specialist to join our team. As a trusted partner in traffic and incident management, we work closely with stakeholders to minimize disruptions, improve safety, and keep traffic moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective traffic and incident management solutions to our stakeholders, around road traffic incidents.
  • Patrol major network routes for incidents and hazards, rapidly respond to and clear traffic incidents.
  • Reduce the potential or risk of secondary incidents, provide safe diversions, minimize traffic delays and congestion.
  • Provide continuous two-way radio communication with traffic management centres.
Requirements
  • Hold an MR License or above and possess a General Induction White Card.
  • Able to use smart phones, tablets, and computer systems.
  • Maintain a clean driving record over the past 5 years.
  • Military or emergency service experience is advantageous, and we offer opportunities for career advancement within RACQ.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage conflict situations effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in dynamic roadside situations.
  • Willing to undergo pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening, and criminal record checks.
  • Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, nightwork and work across various locations.
