Job Opportunity: Major Gift Fundraiser

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our major gift fundraising efforts. This exciting role will involve identifying and cultivating high-net-worth individuals to secure significant philanthropic support for our institution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects, developing and implementing effective engagement strategies, and working closely with colleagues to leverage internal and external relationships.

  • Develop and execute a major gifts pipeline to achieve targeted income goals.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and alignment with other fundraising initiatives across the organization.
  • Analyze and report on prospect and donor trends, providing recommendations for process improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on major gift solicitation and engagement techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, including identification, cultivation, and solicitation.
  • Develop and implement effective engagement strategies, leveraging internal and external relationships.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure alignment and collaboration across fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on major gift solicitation and engagement techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of university advancement, including major gifts.
  • Project management principles and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for process improvement.
