Healthscope's Victorian Centralised Billing and Collections Hub is seeking an experienced Billing and Collections Team Leader to join their busy team in Glen Waverley. This challenging role involves supervising the coordination of Billing and Collections administration and providing support and mentorship to the team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work both autonomously and within a team to achieve individual and team objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and providing a superior billing and collection service in line with Healthscope's approach. They will ensure efficient workflow processes are followed and team performance KPIs are reported and maintained.

The role involves efficiently managing internal and external stakeholder queries and effectively communicating and liaising with internal and external departments. The candidate will also support ongoing change management where required and maintain accurate documentation of patient records via webPAS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide exceptional billing and collection service in line with Healthscope's approach
  • Ensure efficient workflow processes are followed and team performance KPIs are reported and maintained
  • Efficiently manage internal and external stakeholder queries and effectively communicate and liaise with internal and external departments
  • Support ongoing change management where required
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient records via webPAS

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in overseeing the running of a department including staff training, reporting and data analysis
  • Knowledge of private Health Funds, Public, DVA, WorkCover and Third Party contracts and eligibility interpretation
  • Experience in Health Fund and Insurer Billing
  • Relevant debt collection/accounts receivable experience
  • Knowledge of webPAS patient management system
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
