Events Coordinator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Events Officer to join our team at Flinders University Student Association (FUSA). As the Events Officer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a diverse range of events and activities that foster a vibrant community across our campuses.
Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with student groups and FUSA staff to co-create solutions that build community, create a vibrant campus culture, and improve the student experience. This will involve assessing the needs of diverse student groups and developing programs, events, and activities that meet their needs.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Student Council and FUSA staff to develop a schedule of regular events and campus activities throughout the academic year.
- Contribute to the ongoing review and evaluation of events against key performance indicators.
- Supervising student casuals and student volunteers in the delivery of FUSA events.

About You
We are looking for a motivated and community-focused individual with a passion for event management. You will have a demonstrated community-centred approach to event management and experience in supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of a program of engagement activities, events, and activations. You will also have a practical understanding of community development and community engagement to coordinate successful events in a multicultural context.
As our ideal candidate, you will be an energetic self-starter and excellent communicator who can build positive relationships with a diverse range of students, from marginalised communities, students with additional needs, and student leaders.
