**Job Title:** Event Planning Coordinator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Events Assistant to join our small, busy, and high-achieving Events team. This is a permanent full-time position based in Adelaide Zoo, with occasional travel to Monarto Safari Park.

As an Event Planning Coordinator, you will assist the Events Manager in developing, coordinating, and delivering our 18-month calendar of school holiday programs and Zoos SA signature events. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing and contacting suppliers, arranging quotes, confirming bookings, and maintaining ongoing relationships;
  • Developing draft running sheets for events;
  • Creating a schedule of activities;
  • Identifying and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery;
  • Preparing reports and contributing to policies and procedures;
  • Researching community engagement and revenue-generating opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in event management or related areas, excellent creativity skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
