We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Business Events Coordinator to join our team at Business Events Adelaide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing business development activities to attract new and repeat business to Adelaide, working closely with the Director – National Bidding and Events.
Key duties include:
- Developing and working leads to bid and secure business events aligned to key economic sectors of the state;
- Identifying, recruiting, and encouraging local people affiliated with state, regional, national, and international organisations to hold business events in Adelaide;
- Creating and implementing agreed specific business development and promotion initiatives to attract business events to Adelaide;
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary education or equivalent experience;
- Demonstrated experience in a sales environment;
- Effective interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to be self-motivated and achieve measurable outcomes underpinned by a robust 'can-do' approach;
- Ability to report on own activities and pipeline effectively;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Effective organisational and time management skills, including ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
We offer a competitive salary package of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, plus benefits.
