About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Event Program Coordinator to join our Events team at The Royal Zoological Society of SA Inc. This is a permanent full-time position based in Adelaide Zoo, with occasional travel to Monarto Safari Park.

As an Event Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing, coordinating, and delivering our 18-month calendar of school holiday programs and signature events. Your focus will be on developing our reach into diverse markets, supporting community engagement, conservation, and fundraising objectives.

You will assist the Event Manager in sourcing suppliers, arranging quotes, and maintaining relationships. You will also develop draft running sheets, schedules of activities, and reports. Additionally, you will research new community engagement and revenue-generating opportunities for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Event Manager in event planning and coordination;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers;
  • Prepare event logistics and schedules;
  • Research and identify new opportunities for community engagement and revenue generation;
  • Contribute to event reports and policy development;

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Event Management, Tourism, Hospitality, or related areas (or equivalent experience);
  • Excellent creativity skills and attention to detail;
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Understanding of conservation and environmental issues;

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
