Job Description

Rex, Australia's largest independent regional and domestic airline, is seeking a commercially focussed individual to join the Network Strategy Team as a Commercial Revenue Strategist.

The primary function of this role is to maximise revenue performance on flights operated by the Rex Group across the Domestic and Regional Networks. We are seeking an individual with strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound business decisions based on analysis of market performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analysis of market performance to understand changes in demand and make adjustments to inventory accordingly.
  • Implementation of Revenue Management and Pricing initiatives to improve flight and route performance.
  • Produce clear and effective performance measurement reports from large volumes of data.
  • Monitoring and reviewing competitor strategies.
  • Developing and implementing inventory strategies on assigned markets.
  • Making Pricing recommendations on assigned routes to improve revenue performance.
  • Maximising revenue through daily use of the Revenue Management System.
  • Proactively communicating market performance to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing Management reporting and other commercial analysis as required.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in a fast-moving business/commercial environment.
  • Advanced problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Time management and organisational abilities.
  • Well-developed numerical, analytical and computer skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and advance skills in Excel.
  • Prior experience in a Revenue Management / Pricing / Analytical role within the airline or travel industry, and/or a degree in business/finance/commerce would be highly desirable.
Estimated Salary:

Around $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
